WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A GONG BATH

The vibrations of the gong can help you feel energised and in most cases reach a deeper mediative or peaceful state. The deep, resonant sounds help to clear the mind, reducing stress and altering your consciousness by soothing the sympathetic nervous system.

The vibrations of the gong have been shown to have a detoxifying effect and in many cases, has been reported to show improvement in sleep. Some people may also experience a trance-like state and sometimes this can trigger different memories, this is often momentary and is part of the sound healing process. It will pass.

In terms of what happens at a gong bath, you will be invited to get comfortable whilst you are 'bathed' in the sound of the gongs. You can simply lie down and let the sound wash over you. Bring a yoga mat (or message me to borrow one), wear comfortable clothes, grab a blanket, an eye mask and anything else that will help you relax. Once the experience is over drink lots of water and be aware that the vibrations can sometimes be felt for a few following days.
